Self Evaluation/Soul Searching

Wow! It's been 9 months since I wrote my last blog post. Over the past 9 months there has been a lot of Self Evaluation, Soul Searching and figuring out answers to questions that were swirling around in my head. Every few years I need to stop, drop and re-evaluate my life. It's help me to empty out and re-focus.

My summer of 2016 ended with my daughter heading off to college to start a new chapter in her life. After getting her situated, I had lots of extra time on my hands. During this time I made some changes in my personal and blogging life.  I deleted my other blog account that was primarily a sewing blog. I used this blog to showcase my sewing projects through pictures and written details. I also took on some simple at home DIY projects. Renovated my bathroom, living room and hallway. Its amazing how simple changes to a spaces can give it a whole new look and feel.

Self Evaluation/Soul Searching is being real with yourself. Asking questions and accepting the answer and doing something to change it or make it better. After going through this phase I realized the facts below, hence the reason for deleting my sewing blog. Being Real.
  • I love to sew, While I don't love the entire process that leads to the finished garment but I do love it enough to see it through to the end.
  • I don't enjoy writing about the process or taking multiple photos to showcase the details and the finished garment.
  • I do love and enjoy reading the sewing adventures of other sewing bloggers and looking at their awesome photos. It's continues to inspire me to sew and I will continue to do just that.
  • I have no intentions now or in the near future of starting another sewing blog. I will use this space to share pictures my finished sewing projects without the extra sewing details.
During my self evaluation/soul searching my eyes were opened to something new that I have always been interested in trying and over the last fours months I have done my research on Jewelry Making and took the leap into creating my own Jewelry.

I love bracelets, so this will be my first collection. I can't seem to have enough of them. Of all the jewelry I own, I can say that I have more bracelets in my collection than anything else.  I am also in the process of opening an Etsy shop where I can share these awesome pieces.

So far I am enjoying this new journey and will share more in the coming months. I look forward to picking up where I left off with this blog. So stay tuned and here is peek of what's to come.
