10 Things To Do When You Are Snowed In

Today NYC finally got hit with its first big snow storm of the season. Considering that we've had such nice weather for the fall leading into winter, the snow was long over due.  What I am most grateful for is that it's all happening on the weekend, I don't have to go out and fight with the elements.  Being snowed in are the best days. There are so many things that can be done that sometimes you just don't get to do. Here are the things that I planned on getting done today.  So far today, I have accomplished two of the ten.

10 Things to Do When You Are Snowed In

1. Spend some quiet time alone, if possible. Meditation and reflection is good for the mind and soul

2. Get your workout in. A lot of time we are so busy with work and family that we neglect this  part       of our life

3. Read that book that has been sitting in your reader, on your bookshelf or nightstand

4. Treat yourself to an at Home Spa day. Pamper yourself - Facial, Manicure, Pedicure

5.Catch upon reading and commenting on your favorite social media sites

6. Write and pre-schedule next weeks blog post

7. Work on your business

8. Get in the kitchen and try out that new recipe that you have saved.

9. Clean out your closets.

10. Shred the weekly mail that has been piling up.

When you are snowed in, how do you spend your day

  2. I like to cook (as long as the power remains on). I also really like going outside to shovel snow in a blizzard. I love the fresh air and the exercise.

  4. I've only done a few of these and I'm home every day lol. It's weird that nyc has blizzards just about every winter and the Midwest doesn't. I used to live in NY but now I'm in MN

    1. New York was long over due for a snow storm. We had a warm fall into winter. You are fortunate you don't have to deal with this weather anymore. Thank for stopping by.

  5. Great post! I enjoyed having the time to do most things on your list (I am in NJ....pretty much snowed in too) the only other thing I added was to catch up on phone calls to friends and family that were long overdue! I am soooo looking forward to the next snowstorm to do more of the same...no hurry though...we have to dig our way out of this one first.
